Regarding the Star Meditation Technique:
I have, perhaps, a unique problem with this method. I perform in theater and film, so I have become sensitive to the attachment and embodiment of other people. In this respect, I have a solid knowledge of those around me and how I might be or perform as them if the occasion arose. Therefore, the idea of projecting people into or onto myself in meditation has little appeal or power for me. It feels like a forced version of what I do in waking life. This said, I still have financial problems, relationship problems, ect., and I still seek a controlled, peaceful life path despite my emotionally entangled profession. SO
How do I attain better X, Y, and Z, without meditating on “star people” and then seeing myself in them? I see myself in everyone already. Are there other methods that attain the prior method's end?

Sheehan, All the world is indeed a stage isn't it? If you dont like the idea of modeling the auras and karma of others, look at it differently.
or use a different meditation altogether.
But if you want to see it deeper... the STAR MEDITATION is not about modeling SOMEONE ELSE. It is about modeling Your Higher SELF using the IMAGE of someone else. It is about modeling the spirit (pneuma-greek ; rhuach-hebrew meaning WIND)within all of us. We all share the same air. We are all that air. It's that life-air that we all SHARE that you model.
The other person... whether Jesus, Trump, or Jude Law, is just a character and we the 'men and women, the players.'
So in essence when you model someone else, just use them as a starting point. BECAUSE... its often difficult to OBJECTIVELY see ourselves as wealthy, pimped out, too sexy for Paris H, or more powerful than Mr. Ovitz.
But remember, these meditations are ONLY for REprograming your mind. Learning a new Character if you will.
The goal is to stop acting alltogether. The ultimate goal is to let go of our need to be wealthy, loved, popular, etc... :o)

I love your closing: letting go of acting all together. Though, even if I let go of acting in personal life, it would still be my career.
But as far as a need for love and wealth goes, what if you need to pay rent? How do you get rid of this need?
Also, I have been raised to think of divine love as well as physical. Would divine love be un-needed as well? And if so, doesn’t divine love exist outside of any need for it?

as far as "NEED"
Its all a matter of perspective... and you choose which perspective you want to peer through. This is what I mean,
1. Does the Universe need anything?
No.. it is complete. Energy changes into matter and matter into energy.. but the sum total of what's in the universe never changes. - Einstien.
2. If you NEED something.. even as lofty and beautiful as "Divine Love," It is to say that you are NOT "Divine Love." You cannot need something you are, in the same way that a drop of water cannot need itself. But the drop of water can need the ocean lest it evaporate away. Then when it becomes part of the ocean.. it looses its personal identity as the drop of water and takes on all the mystery and power of that vast ocean.
3. All of the greatest spiritual leaders had one hope for all... "That these become ONE with us (speak and GOD) as I am ONE with You." - Jesus of Nazareth.
So the idea is that NO... our whole goal could be not to "NEED" even divine love... our whole goal could be to BECOME Divine Love and give ourselves away to those who still think they "NEED" us.
