Now that you have the foundation for going deeply into the present, apply it. Make water boil faster and make Bruce Lee's Punch to your nose go slower.

Both are possible. First, lets make water boil faster. Get a pot of water and put the burner on high. Seriously. Do it. Now, use all the GOING DEEPLY INTO THE PRESENT techniques below. When you look at the water, scan the bottom of the pan. Look for the smallest hints of a bubble forming. Look at the empty areas where no bubbles ever form. look at the surface of the water and notice its changing vibration - rippling. How much more quickly did your water boil now?

Now, lets slow Bruce's punch down. Recruit a friend. Seriously. Anyone with a fist will do. Ask the person to punch your at nose. But have them far enough away for them fist to barely touch the tip of your nose. Have that person throw a punch fast. Now, do all the GOING DEEPLY INTO THE PRESENT techniques below. Resolve to breath regularly and deeply. Resolve to let your breath continue consistently no matter what happens. Try again. But this time keep your eye focused on the middle knuckle.
