Meditation - Doership vs Creating Changing Effortlessly

How To Make Miracles Happen Effortlessly
Doership may be a word you are not familiar with. Interestingly, it may be a word that the universe is not familiar with either. It implies that if something is done, someone must have done it and must take the responsibility for it.

Doership is everywhere in the world. If a police officer saves a life, he is labled a "hero." If a doctor heals a patient, he is called a "healer." If an agrarian plants and harvests a crop, he is called a "farmer." On the surface this labling the DOER seems perfectly healthy and fine but is it?

Krishna in the Bhavhad Gita actually warn against identifying with "doership," this way. The Lord neither creates the urge for action nor the feeling of doership nor the attachment to the results of action in people. All these are done by the (Gunas of) nature. (B Gita 5.14) Jesus of Nazareth said, "You should say, 'I am a good for nothing slave' since what you have done is what you ought to have done."

Does this sound bleak? Well, let me clarify. As with anything there is a yin and yang side. So what's the upside to all this evasion of doership? You can now do and create and have anything.

Let me put this another way. You know you have some physical limitations. You cannot lift Mount Everest. Some of us can't even lift a mole hill. But you can lift a spoon. If every time you take credit for lifting that spoon, you become the doer of spoon lifting. So, you have identified your own personal power with the ability to lift that spoon.

What would happen if you did NOT accept credit for lifting that spoon? You'd have to assign credit to something else. Where else would you get the power or energy to lift that spoon? Well, its everywhere around you in the universe. You see? Once you start seeing not your own personal energy but the energy of the universe flow through your body, then is a mountain too much to lift? Is the world too much to move?

Think of Jesus' Prodigal Son Allegory. The older son in that story was angry with his father for giving half of his fortune away to the younger squandering son. The father's response was, "everything I have has always been yours." Stop looking at your own personal power. Stop being jealous of wasteful persons who've been "unfairly" gifted by the universe. "Is not everything I have always been yours?"

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Seems like it assigns doership to God right? Read further. EVEN GOD HIMSELF was not the doer of creation. His precise words reveal this when he said, "LET THERE BE..."

Ponder this for a moment. If I said, "let the grass grow," did I grow the grass? If i say "let the rain drop on your face," did I make the rain fall? No, I simply stopped preventing a certain occurance.

Genesis shows how the universe just wants to make things happen. And even GOD took advantage of this dynamic creative machine and just LET THERE BE...

So, if you are trying to become financially free, if you are trying to find your soul mate, if you are trying to heal. You can stop now. The UNIVERSE is DESIGNED to do all these things FOR you. You are just standing in the way. Just "LET THERE BE (money, love, health, peace, joy...)"

Rememeber "With Man, it is impossible; with GOD, all things are possible" - Jesus of Nazareth.
